Bad Symbol Message
Bad Symbol Status
Bad Symbol Message
Definition: When enabled, a message is sent to the host when a symbol is detected
but not decoded. See “Transition Counter Threshold” on page 6-8.
The Bad Bar Code output is tied to the transition counter. If during a
read cycle no symbol is decoded and the required setting for the Tran-
sition Sample Threshold is met, a user defined message will be sent
to the host. See “Output Message Flow” on page 9-8.
Usage: Useful in verifying the presence of a bar code symbol that has not been
decoded.
Serial Cmd: <K715,bad symbol status,bad symbol message>
Default: Disabled
Options: 0 = Disabled 1 = Enabled
Serial Cmd: <K715,bad symbol status,bad symbol message>
Default: BADCODE
Options: Up to seven ASCII characters (except NUL)
