Code 39 Status
Check Digit Status (Code 39)
Check Digit Output (Code 39)
Definition: An alphanumeric code with unique start/stop code patterns, composed
of 9 black and white elements per character, of which 3 are wide.
Usage: Code 39 is considered the standard for non-retail symbology.
Serial Cmd: <K470,status,check digit status,check digit output status,large inter-
character gap,fixed code length status,fixed code length,full ASCII set>
Default: Enabled
Note: This is the only code type enabled by default.
Options: 0 = Disabled 1 = Enabled
Serial Cmd: <K470,status,check digit status,check digit output,large intercharac-
ter gap,fixed code length status,fixed code length,full ASCII set>
Default: Disabled
Options: 0 = Disabled 1 = Enabled
Definition: When enabled, the check digit character is read and compared along
with the label data. When disabled, label data is sent without the check
digit.
Note: With Check Digit Output and an External or Serial trigger
option enabled, an invalid check digit calculation will cause a noread
message to be transmitted at the end of the read cycle.
Usage: Check digit Output, added to the bar code symbol, provides addi-
tional security.
