Chapter 7 OMR
MS-9 Scanner User’s Manual 7-9
Gate Bar Location
Trigger Delay
Output Style
Definition: Allows you to select which side of the OMR symbol the scanner will inter-
pret as a gate bar.
Usage: The scanner can decode symbols with gate bars on either end; however it
is important to correctly identify the position of the gate bar since data
sent to the host must begin with a gate bar.
Serial Cmd: <K490,status,parity status,# fields,trigger delay mode,# scans,gate
bar location,trigger delay type,output style>
Default: Left
Options: 0 = Left 1 = Right
Definition: If Pulse has been enabled in Trigger Delay Type, the count represents
the number of pulses that occur between the time a trigger is received
and the scanner begins to evaluate its scans. If in Time mode, the delay
time is represented in 8 µS increments (a setting of 100 = 800 µS).
With Time enabled, the scanner calculates the time that transpires
between a trigger and the appearance of a symbol in the center of the
scan. At the next trigger edge the scanner will wait the designated Trig-
ger Delay value before the scanner begins to evaluate its scans for OMR
symbols.
Usage: (See Trigger Delay Type.)
Serial Cmd: <K490,status,parity status,# fields,trigger delay mode,# scans,gate bar
location,trigger delay type,output style>
Default: 0
Options: 0 to 65535
Definition: In Binary, the outputs appear as 1s and 0s.
In Hexadecimal they appear as ASCII characters.
Serial Cmd: <K490,status,parity status,# fields,trigger delay mode,# scans,gate bar
location,trigger delay type,output style>
